Donald Trump is not taking part in Thursday’s Fox News Republican debate, according to his campaign manager.
In the process, Trump is rewriting the rules of how to campaign for president.
Instead of facing questions he may not like from FOX moderator Megan Kelly,, he will hold his own separate event to raise money for veterans.
Former WMUR Political Director Scott Spradling said there’s a chance this decision could backfire for Trump.
While he will likely draw attention with his event, he’s leaving the main debate stage wide open for his chief rival, Ted Cruz.
Spradling notes that Trump has broken many political rules in this race, and his poll numbers have remained strong.
