It was a nail biting AFC Title game yesterday, but the New England Patriots lost to the Denver Broncos by 2 points! It was a strange game. Tom Brady threw 2 interceptions in the first half, kicker Stephen Gostkowski missed his first extra point since his rookie season in 2006.

“I lost the game,” Gostkowski said.
“I feel terrible. … It’s a nightmare scenario. That’s how I feel. I let a lot of people down.”
Gostkowski’s missed kick after the Stephen Jackson’s touchdown in the first quarter left the Patriots in a 7-6 hole at the time. In the fourth quarter, the Patriots trailed 20-12. But after Rob Gronkowski’s touchdown in the final minutes, they were forced to go for a 2-point conversion attempt that the Broncos snuffed out.
Gostkowski felt the weight of that, knowing he should have been in position to kick a point-after attempt that would have evened the game at 20-20 if he had converted in the first quarter.
Unfortunately, now after they started the season 10-0, New England will not be going to the seventh Super Bowl in the Brady-Bill Belichick era. Brady will not be winning his record fifth Super Bowl title, which would have been the most ever for a quarterback.

The Denver Broncos are heading the Super Bowl to play the Carolina Panthers! Carolina beat Arizona
49-15

The Bulldogs started the season with eight consecutive victories and currently sit 12-3 overall and 9-1 in the South Piedmont 3A conference. Misenheimer, Raper, Trammell and Gray all have been factors.
Each player’s role varies, but the piece each one plays fits in the system Batts Sr. has used to guide the Bulldogs this year.

The Columbus Blue Jackets entered the weekend with the NHL’s worst record, but they took the Bruins down to the wire in their lone trip to TD Garden this season.
Torey Krug scored the game-winning goal in a shootout Saturday night to give Boston a 3-2 victory.

The Bulldogs have 4 strong players that are being compared to NBA greats….Jay M Robinson, Javonte Misenheimer, Jackson Raper, Colman Trammell and Rashon Gray
